Nam Cat Tien National Park Natural Exploring Tour – 3 Days

Day 1: Ho Chi Minh City – Nam Cat Tien (L, D)

This morning our tour guide will meet you at the hotel’s lobby to leave for Nam Cat Tien National Park which is 170km from Ho Chi Minh City. We pass through large areas of rubber plantations before branching off the Highway on a rough track to the national park.

On arrival the national park, you will see an incredible diversity of birds and mammals living in the forest and wetland habitats of Nam Cat Tien, including an estimated 230 species of birds, endangered birds to be found here in their dinner.

The afternoon is spent for birding along the road from the park headquarters. Enjoy our typical dinner of Southern Vietnam & watch some animal at headquarters. Overnight in Nam Cat Tien.

Day 2: Discover Nam Cat Tien National Park (B, L, D)

After having breakfast, discover the forest by bike to admire the beauty of Heaven waterfall and botanical garden. Later enjoy our lunch which is ready to serve.

In the afternoon we take the 6 km drive through the forest to observe species listed in the World Red Book. Those can be seen here include Bronze-winged Jacana, lesser adjutant, and Purple Heron. Green Peafowl by Crocodile Lake can be caught in the early morning or late afternoon. In the forest, you may look out for Red and Black and Banded Broadbill, Orange-breasted Trogon and Pale-headed Woodpecker amongst others. Overnight in Crocodile Lake.

Day 3: Nam Cat Tien – Ho Chi Minh City (B, L)

This morning, we should wake up early to listen to the nice songs of native birds. Breakfast prepared for another four-hour trekking to see the Crocodiles swamp and back to the headquarter of the National Park for lunch. Then get on our vehicle for heading back to Saigon. Trip ends.
