About Ginger Cruise
Ginger Junk Cruise is an Indochinese 1920s classic outside and modern comfort inside yacht of 38 meter long.
Embarking on Ginger Cruise to explore the famed UNESCO Heritage Site Ha Long Bay through a unique sailing track to primitive Lan Ha Bay will absolutely leave you a deep impression. Exclusively designed under the theme of Indochinese – Vietnamese, the newly-launched vessel guarantees to offer you best experiences with world-class services.
The 3-deck cruise is home to 12 spacious, natural light-flooded suites only divided into 3 categories including junior suite, signature suite and regent suite. Each room is equipped with a wide range of amenities namely air-conditioner, mini bar, balcony with sun chairs, LCD screen and sofa lounge. Library lounge, restaurant with Live Cooking, bar and spa are also available onboard.
The cruise offers you a visit to Viet Hai village where you can take a bike trip along small paved roads, socialize with locals, and explore more about their daily life. Taking kayak or bamboo boat to discover Tra Bau area after enjoying a hearty breakfast onboard is another wonderful and long-lasting memory for you.

Your Itinerary
Day 1: Hanoi – Lan Ha Bay
Noon
Arrive at the pier by 11:30am for check in process.
Afternoon
Embark on Ginger Cruise. We will welcome you with complementary drink as soon as you board. The cruise briefing is given prior to check-in procedures. Enjoy lunch in Ginger’s natural light-flooded dining room offering panoramic view while we sail towards primitive Lan Ha Bay. Take a trip to visit an ancient lighthouse, built by French overs 100 years ago. Stop over Viet Hai village. You are offered a bicycle trip around the village and have chance to socilize with the locals, know more a bout their homes, daily works and village school. Return to the cruise. A traditional cooking class is held in the open kitchen at the restaurant teaching you about local ingredients, preparation, and cooking of particular dishes to imitate easily at home.
Note: massage service is available in our large Lady Ginger spa.
Evening
Dinner awaits you in the living room. Evening activities include hanging out at our bar, enjoying evening cinema in the dining area, and squid fishing. Overnight on boat.
Day 2: Lan Ha Bay – Hanoi
Morning:
It is best to start your day early to attend Tai Chi session on the sundeck. Coffee, tea and breakfast pastries are available in dining room. We will sail you to Tra Bau area, a secluded spot which is perfect for our morning excursion. Discover the bay by kayak or bamboo boat. Return to the boat and enjoy a hearty breakfast in the dining room while we cruise back to the pier. (Note: you can also order a breakfast served in your room.)
Noon
Arrive at the pier at around 11o’clock. Trip ends.
Payment & Cancellation
Cruise Policy:
- Check in: 12:30 PM
- Check out: 11:00 AM
- 01 child maximum per cabin and child reduction applicable only if sharing a cabin with maximum of 2 adults.
- Free of charge for child under 5 years old, in parents’ room and using existing bedding.
- For a child from 5-11 years old, if sharing a cabin with a maximum of 2 adults, limiting to one child per cabin, charge of 115 for 2 days/1 night and $175 for 3 days/2 nights
- Extra bed: charge of $30 applied for children under 12 requiring extra bed, in addition to the charge mentioned above. For adult, the charge is 40% of cabin price.
- Peak season surcharge: Surcharge of 25% cabin rate applies for travel period on 24 and 31 December
- Shuttle bus: not available
Booking Policy:
- More than 30 days prior to check-in: free of charge
- From 30 to 7 days prior to check-in: 10% of total rates
- From 6 to 3 days prior to check in: 50% of total rates.
- Less than 3 days prior to check-in: 100% of total rates.
- No-Show: 100% of total rates.
- Cancellation notice must be in written form and send to us via email. Refund will be processed between 5-7 business days
