About Athena Cruise
Operated since mid-April 2017, Athena Cruise seeks to deliver a one-of-its kind trip to the natural world heritage site of Halong Bay. There are 4 types of cabins spreading over 3 decks: Executive suites, Elegant Suite, Terrace suite and Family Suite.
Restaurants and sundecks are both spacious and well-equipped to make sure you will enjoy every single moment being on board. You can spend your leisure time reading books or watching sunset with 360 degree view from the top deck, or indulge in luxury spa service.
All staffs of Athena are well trained and always try to go out of their way to keep their inhouse guests happy all throughout the trip.

Your Itinerary
2D1N Itinerary:
Day 1: Hanoi – Bai Tu Long
Morning
Transfer to Halong Bay (shuttle bus or private car, not included in cabin price).
Afternoon
Take a tender to the main vessel. Be warmly welcomed by friendly crews and receive a complimentary drink with brief introduction and safety guidelines. Check in your cabin and enjoy lunch. Arrive at Cong Do area then transfer by tender to visit Thien Canh Son Cave. As the cruise heads further into Bai Tu Long Bay you will enjoy the magnetic beauty of this world wonder.
Return to boat and sail to Cap La island where you can kayak for about 45 minutes.
Evening
In early evening you can enjoy Happy Hour on sundeck, or learn how to make Vietnamese food with the cooking class. Later dinner will be served and followed by free time for dinner activity.
Day 2: Bai Tu Long Bay – Hanoi
Morning
Early risers can head to sundeck for a morning Tai Chi session. Light breakfast will be served, just before your visit to Vung Vieng fishing village. Return to main board and free time to relax. Later check out of your cabin and enjoy a delicious brunch as the cruise heads back to pier.
3D2N Itinerary:
Day 1: Hanoi – Halong Bay
Morning Transfer to Halong Bay (shuttle bus or private car, not included in cabin price). The transfer will take about 4 hours and you are suggested to leave Hanoi by 8:00am or Hai Phong by 9:30am. Afternoon Take a tender to the main vessel. Be warmly welcomed by friendly crews and receive a complimentary drink with brief introduction and safety guidelines. Check in your cabin and enjoy lunch. Head to Vung Vieng fishing village and learn about daily local life. As the cruise heads further into Bai Tu Long Bay you will enjoy the magnetic beauty of this world wonder. Day 2: Cong Dam Area- Bai Tu Long Bay
Morning Early birds can attend the morning Tai Chi session on upper deck. Light breakfast will be served to get your energy up. Enjoy a buffet breakfast at 8:00 before transfering to day boat and visit Cong Dam area with crystal clear sandy beaches. Enjoy kayaking, swimming or just relaxing. Afternoon Lunch will be served on day boat. Take some time to freshen up – take a nap or just relax at your own leisure. At 5:30pm, bar will open the Happy hour program or you can enjoy the cooking demonstration held by our chef. Evening Special dinner will be served. You can later spend free evening on your own or meet new people in social area.
Day 3: Thien Canh Son Cave- Hanoi
Morning Early risers can head to sundeck for a morning Tai Chi session. Light breakfast will be served, just before your visit to Thien Canh Son Cave. Return to main board and free time to relax. Later check out of your cabin and enjoy a delicious brunch as the cruise heads back to pier.
Payment & Cancellation
Cruise Policy:
- Check in: 12:15pm
- Check out: 11:00am
- Arrival in Hanoi: 16:30pm
- Free of charge for children under 5 years old is applicable for 1 (one) child sharing a cabin with 2 (two) adults (No extra Mattress)
- The Child Rate for children from 5 to below 12 years old is applicable for 1 (one) child sharing a cabin with 2 (two) adults: 75% Adult rate (No extra Mattress)
- Two children below 12 years sharing private cabin get 25% discount from adult cabin rate.
- Kayaking is free of charge for 3 day 2 night trip. For 2 day 1 night trip, kayaking fee $10/person applies and must be booked in advance.
- Peak season surcharge: Surcharge of $50 per person applies if guests stay overnight on December 24th and/or December 31st.
- Shuttle bus: $35/adult and $30/child under 12 round trip. Pick up point: at hotel in Hanoi Old Quarter or in front of Hanoi Opera House
Booking Policy:
- More than 30 days prior to check-in: free of charge
- From 30 to 7 days prior to check-in: 10% of total rates
- From 6 to 3 days prior to check in: 50% of total rates.
- Less than 3 days prior to check-in: 100% of total rates.
- No-Show: 100% of total rates.
