Your Itinerary

Day 1: Ho Chi Minh City – Cai Be (L, D)

Leave the busy and noisy streets of Ho Chi Minh City to reach the Mekong Delta by road. After reaching Cai Lay, unpack the bike and start the journey with a short trip to Cai Be. Walk together along the back path about 1.5 hours and immerse in the fresh and peaceful space of this charming countryside. On reaching Cai Be, you will be taken on a trip through a labyrinth of narrow alleys and small bridges to get to an ancient house in the middle of a peaceful orchard. Back to Cai Be in the late afternoon to relax at the beautiful resort located on the Mekong River. Overnight in Cai Be.

 

Day 1: Ho Chi Minh City – Cai Be (L, D)

Day 2: Cai Be – Vinh Long – Can Tho (B, L, D)

After an early breakfast in the hotel, a boat will pick you up to transfer across Tien River. This morning you will cycle along the island, passing many cottage industries on your way to Vung Liem. Something which is interesting is waiting for you on today’s journey. You will need to cross many small estuaries on wooden plan bridges – a great way to challenge your ingenuity, experiencing local ferries and the peaceful pace of island life.

Difficulty: Easy

Day 2: Cai Be – Vinh Long – Can Tho (B, L, D)

After an early breakfast in the hotel, a boat will pick you up to transfer across Tien River. This morning you will cycle along the island, passing many cottage industries on your way to Vung Liem. Something which is interesting is waiting for you on today’s journey. You will need to cross many small estuaries on wooden plan bridges – a great way to challenge your ingenuity, experiencing local ferries and the peaceful pace of island life.

 

Lunch will be served at a local restaurant and a short transfer will be necessary to get the best cycling routes on your way to Can Tho. Rice fields flanked by palm and coconut trees definitely will be a totally different experience for you to explore this area with a closer look. Quiet country roads pass through many small villages, to the smallest corners so you can have a real view of the lives of the locals. You can understand more about indigenous life by participating in local activities. Exploring the true essence and pace of life in Mekong Delta.

Day 3: Can Tho – Chau Doc (B, L, D)

Early in the morning, we will take the boat trip to visit Cai Rang floating market. This is one of the most attractive tourist attractions of Mekong Delta. You will understand how indigenous people adapt to life on the river. Their lives have extremely distinctive and interesting characteristics from others. Suppliers and craftsmen start work early in the morning. Boats floating on the river and business activities take place excitingly. Boating along the river is a great way to experience the spectacular.

Your last day of cycling in Vinh Long Cycling Tour will be spent for you to go through different scenery as you head southwest toward Cambodia. The roads have a slight undulation and we will get closer to see the mountains begin to appear in the far distance. As you approach the town of Chau Doc, veer off toward Sam Mountain where steep slopes will reward you with breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside. Finally, we go down the mountain and return to Chau Doc in time for dinner. Overnight in Chau Doc. Tomorrow morning, you will be transferred back to Ho Chi Minh City.
