Vietnam Luxury Tour – 9 Days

Day 1: Arrival Hanoi
Our staff will meet you up at the airport with Fast-track service. Then your guide and driver will pick you up at Noi Bai International airport then transfer to Sofitel Legend Metropole Hotel.

Today we will venture out to explore Hanoi. First up we will drive to the Ho Chi Minh complex where we will spend time at Ho Chi Minh’s mausoleum, his former stilt-house, the Presidential Palace, the Ho Chi Minh Museum and One Pillar Pagoda. Followings we visit the Temple of Literature, which originally built as a temple to Confucius.

After lunch (at your own account), we visit the Museum of Ethnology, which is widely acknowledged as the best in the country and has an extensive display dedicated to Vietnam’s 54 Ethnic minority peoples and the infamous Hoa Loa Prison Museum. Hoa Loa is also known as the ‘’Hanoi Hilton’’ and was where former US presidential candidate John McCain was incarcerated for over 5 years.

Later this afternoon, we enjoy a 1-hour cyclo tour of the French-inspired “old quarter”. We will be free for shopping in the old quarter ranges from markets through to designer boutique stores to amazing contemporary art galleries. Then we sit down to enjoy a performance of the city’s famous Water Puppets.

Note: If time does not permit, we will skip one or two sights.

Day 2: Hanoi – Ha Long Bay (B, L, D)
Our driver and guide will pick you up at the hotel, transfer to Noi Bai airport for your flight to Ha Long Bay at 11:30.

After 45 minutes of flight and 15 minutes for scenic Ha Long Bay, we will be landing at the Tuan Chau Marina and get on our car to Hon Gai Pier (20 minutes), then check in our Emperor Cruise, enjoy the welcome drink, receive cruise briefing and safety instructions.

Check in and begin cruise. Sail through beautiful Bai Tu Long Bay en route to Halong Bay (Halong Bay trip).
Our Experiences Manager will assist you with boarding to start cruising in Bai Tu Long Bay.

Check in to your cabin as we set sail from Vinashin dock to cruise among the many beautiful islets (scenes from the film ‘Indochine’ were filmed here). Bai Tu Long Bay has a wild beauty and the panoramas from the boat are unforgettable.

An a la carte lunch will be served at our Royal Restaurant on the main deck. Savor delicious Vietnamese food while admiring the grace of the bay.
Visit Vung Vieng fishing village, the famous pearl-growing village, to view the fishing tanks of the local people. You have time to observe the process of feeding pearl as well as learning a little about the life of the local people.

Proceed to Vung Vieng floating village to board bamboo boats so the locals can row you around their village and oyster pearl farming plots. Return to the boat by speedboat.
The cruise continues from the Vung Vieng fishing village to Cong Do (sleeping area), where you will enjoy the wonderful beauty of Bai Tu Long Bay at sunset, admire the striking islands and islets, relax, indulge yourself and savor the peaceful atmosphere which can only be found out here among the islands.

Choose from kayaking, just relaxing or taking afternoon tea and watching the sky color change as the sun sets.
Attend our chef’s cooking demonstration and try your skills in the art of traditional Vietnamese cooking (making spring rolls) in a truly stunning setting.
Enjoy our a la carte 5-course menu for dinner on board as you experience the charm of Bai Tu Long Bay at night.

Day 3: Ha Long Bay (B, L, D)
Welcome a new day with an amazing dawn on Bai Tu Long Bay with a Tai-chi/Vovinam session on the sundeck.
Catch the morning view of seascape while enjoying the breakfast in the restaurant.
Transfer to Day Boat and start cruising to admire the widest beauty of Bai Tu Long Bay.
Kayak and discover Thay Cave – one of the largest & well-hidden cave in Bai Tu Long Bay.

Visit Cong Dam Area- Hon Xep Nature Park – Deep into Bai Tu Long Bay, the famous hidden lagoons covered by majestic limestone islands and islets with wild beaches.

Enjoy the lunch in the restaurant on the day boat.
Transfer from Day Boat back to the main boat – Emperor Cruises Ha Long

Day 4: Ha Long Bay – Hanoi – Fly to Da Nang – Hoi An (Brunch)
Wake up to the gentle lapping of the water against the boat and as the first rays of the sun announce a new day. Before enjoying breakfast have cookies and tea and then try the tai chi session on the sundeck as the sun rises over Bai Tu Long Bay.

Explore the area of Hon Co Island and Co Cave (Grass Cave, also known as Thien Canh Son). You can revel in the breathtaking view of Bai Tu Long bay from up high, as well as the glorious long white-sand beach of Hon Co Island. Afterwards relax on the beach, go swimming in the crystal clear water and explore the cave.

Return to the cruise by speedboat.
Arrange the luggage and check out.
Enjoy brunch on board while cruising back to the mainland.
Back to the port, we will take our flight at 12.30 to Noi Bai airport, then check in for our flight to Da Nang.
On arrival in Da Nang, your family will be transferred to Four Seasons Resort by your driver and guide.

Day 5: Hoi An – Farming & Fishing Eco Tour – Hoi An Walking Tour (B, L)
We have an early start this morning as we head off to our Farming & Fishing Life Eco Tour. Starting at Tra Que Village, we will get a personal insight into the local farming communities. We set about joining the farmers in preparing their land for sowing, helping to fertilize the garden using seaweed from the local river and watering it in using huge tin cans strapped to our backs. Following this, we will begin our leisurely cycling tour through the countryside witnessing local Vietnamese rural life first hand.

Late morning we will board our Hoi An Eco-tour boat for a river cruise. Here we will meet and witness local fishermen working their craft, before enjoying a hands-on experience of traditional net fishing. We then transfer to a Vietnamese bamboo basket boat for a quick race and ride down a coconut palm-lined waterway. Lunch today is on board our boat, which is prepared using vegetables picked earlier at Tra Que Village.

After lunch, we will walk down to the downtown for our walking tour. We will start our walking tour around the ancient town to visit the Japanese Covered Bridge, the Pottery Museum, Tan Ky old house, the Cantonese congregation, the silk street of Hoi An, the temples and pagodas of Chinese appearance. Then we are back to our hotel.

Day 6: Hoi An – Marble mountain, Monkey mountain, Cham Museum, Han Market (B, L)
Pick up at our hotel, we will have the full day exploring this lively modern city in the Central of Vietnam. We first visit the Marble Mountain. We then visit the impressive Cham Museum, one of the best collection of Cham Sculpture and Artworks. We then drive to Son Tra Peninsula (Monkey Mountain) and visit Linh Ung Pagoda with the biggest Buddha statue in Southeast Asia. Wandering around the pagoda and relax with a panorama view of the beach from the height.

Back to the city center for lunch (at your own account), we will visit Han market, the main market in Danang City with hundreds of local specialties. The rest of the day will be free at My Khe beach. Tour ends at our hotel.

Day 7: Hoi An (B)
The day will be free for shopping, strolling in the Hoi An town, lazing on the beach, or whatever takes your fancy. We’ll spend the night in Four Seasons Resort.

Day 8: Hoi An – Da Nang – Fly to Hanoi (B)
Check out hotel and transfer to Da Nang airport for your short flight to Hanoi. On arrival in Hanoi, you will transfer to Sofitel Legend Metropole hotel.

Day 9: Hanoi Departure (B)
After breakfast, we will be free until your driver arrives to take you to Noi Bai Airport for your departure flight.
